Rating: 5 stars Everyone loves this, it's addictive.Rating: 5 stars I used a combination of chocolate chips and butterscotch chips, and walnuts.I definitely would mix the graham crackers and melted butter next time, pressing them firmly into the pan, and then greasing the dish might be a good idea.I might also try semi-sweet chocolate chips, as this recipe is ultra-sweet.Rating: 4 stars I mixed the crumbs into the butter before patting it into the pan. Also, I wish I had added the nuts before the coconut so the nuts wouldn't taste roasted. However I increased the crust to 2 1/2 cups of crumbs and added a little more butter to the original recipe. It really has to cool before being cut or it makes a mess.Next time I'll just put it in the microwave mix in the crumbs and press into the pan:) Helpful (130).Rating: 5 stars I made this recipes with 1/2 chocolate chips and 1/2 reeses peanut butter morsels mix and it was outstanding.I also found it helpful to press down on the bars with a spatula before baking this makes it settle better. .

Although, the recipe my family has is a little bit different than this one...Tips - Mix the margarine/butter and graham cracker crumbs together to make a firmer "crust".- Pour the condensed milk on the graham cracker crumbs BEFORE adding the other ingredients.- Use more than 1 cup of chocolate chips. Also, I like the recipe better without the nuts.Rating: 5 stars These are great.I made a few modifications after reading the reviews - I used chocolate graham crackers and doubled the graham cracker/butter base since a few of the reviewers said the base was a little skimpy as it is - I liked the thickness of the base but would probably use less butter next time.I put the milk on top of the base since other reviewers said it made for a more attractive bar (I might do half under and half over next time though, to help the toppings stick better) and instead of just semi-sweet chocolate chips I mixed white chocolate chips and chocolate/peanut butter swirled chips.Rating: 5 stars This is very similar to a recipe I used to make at a bakery I worked at years ago.At the bakery we used white chocolate, milk chocolate, and butterscotch chips, coconut, walnuts, and sweetened condensed milk.Great recipe - everyone loves it a lot like Mounds bars.Rating: 5 stars I totally agree with doubling the crust.ENJOY Helpful (14). .

Rating: 5 stars These are great bars!If you have trouble with the butter not soaking through the cracker crumbs, combine them in a small bowl first and then pat them into the pan evenly. This recipe puts the coconut on last which makes a great toasted coconut top.Rating: 5 stars This is a delicious combination of ingredients!Rating: 4 stars I thought this recipe was good and tastes just as sweet as any other recipe. The second time, I combined the butter and crumbs in a seperate bowl, then pressed it into the pan.An exceptional variation follows: Substitute chocolate boxed cake instead of graham crumbs, increasing butter to 1 1/2 sticks of butter. Also don't go wild with the semi-sweet chips they can overpower the good taste of the other ingredients.Rating: 5 stars I make these all the time - many variations - but I always add the milk last like other reviewers.I lined the inside of my glass baking dish with aluminum foil and sprayed it - that way I could remove the entire thing after baking and cooling for easier cutting.Rating: 4 stars Good, but the sweetened condensed milk is better if it's poured over the melted butter-graham cracker layers. .

Rating: 4 stars HELPFUL TIPS THAT HELPED ME: If you're like me, you'll probably be thinking "this is way too sweet" while you put all those chocolate chips on top of the crust & YOU'LL BE RIGHT!Second, mine turns out perfect using just a 14oz (1 cup) can of fat-free sweetened condensed milk.I usually increase the graham cracker crust so the bar has a more solid base and the chocolate and butterscotch chips to 1 cup vs 3/4 cup.Rating: 3 stars This recipe is NOT the original.Rating: 5 stars Although I prefer to leave the nuts off, this is the best version of this recipe.Rating: 5 stars A great recipe...It turned out great just like it should when you exactly follow the recipe...Rating: 5 stars I find it amazing that something so easy to prepare can be so delicious! .
