These pretzels can also be shaped into long stuffed sandwich-style buns, perfect for grilled sausage with peppers and onions or brats and sauerkraut. After the first rise, simply divide the dough into eight pieces, shaping them each into a ball.

Flatten the balls into 6" disks and roll them into logs, pinching the seam and ends to seal. On a clean, dry work surface (no oil, no flour), use two hands to drag each log toward you; the friction of the work surface should seal the seam and smooth out the surface of the bun.

I only used 1 1/2 cups milk, used 3 cups bread flour and 3 cups AP flour, 6 Tbsp oil and 3 tsp yeast. I will make this again but rolll it into roung buns instead of the long sticks.

Wendy’s on Tuesday debuted its latest burger, a Pretzel Bacon Pub Cheeseburger that is designed to replicate burgers served in a gastropub. The burger features a quarter pound of beef topped with Muenster cheese, three strips of bacon, honey mustard, warm beer cheese sauce, crispy fried onions and pickles on a soft pretzel bun.

“We’ve been watching and listening as customers have been craving for us to bring pretzel back,” Chief Marketing Officer Carl Laredo said in a statement. The Pretzel Bacon Pub Cheeseburger will go on the Made to Crave line.

Wendy’s is also using the burger to push delivery and get customers to try it. .
